Jennifer Hudson’s upcoming album, JHud, will be a continuation of her 2011 album, I Remember Me. The singer is adamant about letting her fans get to know “the girl” this time around, rather than having them hold on to the now distant image of her as a young American Idol competitor. The album will therefore reflect how she has grown through the years.
In a recent interview with Majic 102.3, Jennifer discussed everything from her favourite ballads to her business relationship with Clive Davis. But nothing seemed to brighten her as much as talking about her 4 year old son, David Jr. “He calls himself Boss Baby, cause he’s the boss,” she laughed, “he’s a character”.
The Hollywood Walk of Famer spoke fondly of how quickly her son is growing up and how he “holds his own.” She gushed, “My baby was clearly born to be nothing but a blessing.” Noticing how quickly time passes, Jennifer admits that at times while driving him to school she can hardly believe it, “like wow” she excliams, “I have a kid and I’m taking him to school. I mean, it happened so fast.”
David Jr. was born in 2009 nearly a year after Jennifer became engaged to WWE wrestler, David Otunga. Now, she says she really wants a little girl, and so does little David. She even admits that when he asks for a sister it sounds like he’s putting an order in. The Grammy-Award winner continued to rave about her son, calling him a great little boy, and her “saving grace”.
The album JHud, is set to drop this summer. Look out for it mid-August.
