Halle Berry and Maceo make another public appearance just weeks after having fun at Disneyland with family. The actress enjoyed a bit of mother-son time as she carried her son and his toy giraffe around the neighborhood. Maceo kept his eyes on the giraffe to ensure that mom didn’t drop it. Halle wore a black dress that was suitable for warm weather.
Berry is a mom in real life and onscreen, thanks to her new gig as Molly on CBS’s ‘Extant.’ Although she was asked to portray a pregnant mom onscreen just weeks after giving birth to her son in real life, Halle says that being pregnant onset didn’t bother her. “To be pregnant again on a show right after I gave birth didn’t scare me at all,” says Berry. “I know how to be pregnant, I thought, ‘I’m going to ace that part for sure.'”
Although Science Fiction fascinates her, Halle was drawn to the part on ‘Extant’ because of her ability to relate to the character as a mother. “There’s so many elements that drew me to [the character] but probably the first one [was] being a mother. This was a character, when I first read it, it was so relatable to me,” explains the star. “While I’m not an astronaut or a scientist — far, far from it — I still had an understanding about the human quality to this woman.”
Halle Berry has one child, Maceo, with husband Olivier Martinez. The actress has two kids in all.
