“Yea I broke down , I was really excited to see my pops at my graduation today but he never showed up,” wrote Marquise on his Facebook page. “My sister and mama is always there for me just know that you wasn’t. I did it without you.”

Shaniqua Tompkins, Marqiuse’s mother, also commented on her son’s accomplishment. “The greatest job I’ve ever had has been the job of raising YOU,” tweeted the proud mom. “I wouldn’t trade a minute of the time I’ve spent caring for you, cheering for you, and watching you grow. I’ve laughed with you and celebrated your victories, I’ve worried about you and shared your hurts, and through it all you have filled my heart with love beyond compare. Marquise the greatest job I’ve ever had has been the joy of raising you! I love you more than life itself!! Congrats are in order! No way but up from here.”

50 Cent’s relationship with his son has been on shaky ground ever since the rapper argued with his teen via Twitter a few months back.  “He [has] completely embraced his mom’s perspective,” said Fiddy on Marquise’s hostility towards him. “Everything in his life is something I’ve provided for, regardless of [whether] I’m there or not.”

Marquise is Fiddy’s eldest son. The rapper also has a child named Sire.
