Lamar Sally shocked the entertainment world when he filed for divorce from his wife, Sherri Shepherd, after three years of marriage a few days ago. Now the screenwriter is bringing more jaw-dropping news to the story by asking for custody of his and Sherri’s unborn child when he is born.

“Court records show the husband of comedian and ‘The View’ co-host Sherri Shepherd has filed for legal separation after nearly three years of marriage.
Lamar Sally filed for separation May 2 in Los Angeles Superior Court. The pair married in August 2011, and Sally’s filing states they are expecting a son who is due in July.
Sally is seeking custody of the child when he is born, with visitation for Shepherd.”
Sherri announced her and Lamar’s expectancy via surrogate last year. The television host also told media that she admired her husband’s love for her eldest son, Jeffrey. “I love the fact that Sal loves my son,” said Shepherd. “Oh my God, he puts Jeffrey probably before me. The fact that Sal loves my son so much that just turns me on.”
Jeffrey is Sherri’s son from her marriage to Jeff Tarpley. The television personality wed Lamar is 2011.
