Solange Knowles and Julez are big on foundation. The mother and her son recently partnered with the 14 Plus Foundation to help children and young adults in Africa learn to read and write. Solange and Julez stopped by the partnership party at Baby All Rights in Brooklyn, New York over the weekend to show their support for the organization that aims to spread literacy throughout the world’s largest continent.
More than two thirds of Africa’s population consists of children and young adults, yet the majority of these citizens are considered illiterate. The 14 Plus Foundation seeks to bring about improvement by getting kids excited about education and encouraging those who do know how to read and write to volunteer.
Solange and Julez were two of several residents in the New York area to partner with 14 Plus over the weekend. You can learn more about the foundation at its website.
