Beyonce may be Time’s Most Influential Person, but it’s her mother and daughter who have an impact on her life. The singer recently opened up about her relationship with her mom, Tina Knowles, and daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, telling media that these two have made her strong.
“I feel like my mother, my daughter have been probably the most influential,” said Bey. “Being a mother, becoming a mother, looking at my daughter in her eyes made me into a woman and made me very, very strong.”
The singer also disclosed her feelings about being named one of Time magazine’s most influential people. “Shooting for Time magazine was definitely one of the goals in my life,” explained the star. “It’s something important for me as an artist because it’s not about fashion or beauty or music, It’s about the influence I have on culture and to be among the other influential people is a huge honor for me.”
Beyonce is one out of 100 celebrities and entrepreneurs to be named most influential by Time this year. Janet Yellen, Chair of the Board of Governors for the Federal Reserve System, and Pharrell Williams were also deemed most influential.
