Erica Campbell is making waves in the music industry with her new solo album, Help. The recording artist recently debuted one of the album’s music videos, having her daughter, Krista, alongside to help her get the message over.
Krista sang background as mom belted out the notes and lyrics to ‘Help.’ Erica got candid in the video, telling God and fans that she was desperate for help after losing her father and experiencing other calamities in life.
The singer got candid with James Fortune earlier this month, telling him that Help was birthed out of struggles. “The song, it was birthed out of a really crazy year that was two thousand thirteen,” said Erica. “I realized that the only thing that would help me through was the help of God.”
Campbell gave further insight into her project explaining to Fortune and listeners, “The album is called help, but it’s a very strong album. It’s a very confident album. I’m praising and magnifying God. [I’m] acknowledging who He is. And there’s a few twists and turns that I’m really excited for people to hear.”
