Holly Robinson-Peete and the family greet L.A. and Erica Reid at the Super Kid Honors Pre-Game Celebration during Super Bowl weekend. The event was held in New York City by Holly’s foundation and honored kids like Anthony Starego who successfully fought the legal system and was awarded another year of high school eligibility. Although many kids stage legal battles every year, Starego’s fight was significant because of the teen’s battle with autism. Anthony showed kids in his neighborhood and throughout the country that anything is possible with a little hard work and dedication.
Rodney Peete Jr., can certainly attest to the benefits of working hard as he has managed to find steady work and attend school while being autistic. Holly often brags on her son’s growth since his diagnosis over ten years ago, telling media that Rodney lives a normal life like everyone else.
In addition to honoring kids at the Super Kid Honors event, Holly and her charity also raised thousands for autism research and awareness. Holly Robinson-Peete and husband Rodney Peete have four kids together.
