NICK CANNON: ‘I WOULDN’T PUT MY KIDS ON TELEVISION’

Carey

Nick and Mariah want their kids to be in the spotlight but they definitely don’t want them on television as child stars. The power couple are covering the front of Ebony magazine’s February issue, where they give insight on why they wouldn’t necessarily want Monroe and Moroccan to enter the wonderful world of show business as children.

“Me personally, I wouldn’t put my kids on television,” says Nick. “But to each his own. Most aspiring child actors or child stars have a passion for it. But as easy as it is for me to say that I wouldn’t put my kids in it, if I saw that they really really wanted to do and they had the drive, then I would fully support it. As long as there’s balance at home, then they could do whatever they wanted to do.”

The actor also talks about his ability to balance an amazing career with family life. “If you have a team that actually understands there’s a certain amount of time for certain things, and you focus on that until it’s done, then it usually works out,” explains the star. “Family is always the number one priority.”
