Beyonce and Blue share a moment for the singer’s documentary. Little Blue holds both hands high as mom smiles wide and emulates her daughter.
Bey gives insight into the idea of imperfection that drives her newest album, telling fans that trophies and awards that she received as a child inspired her to explore the concept. “My message behind the album was finding the beauty in imperfection,” says the artist. “The trophies represent all of the sacrifices that I’ve made as a kid, all of the time that I’ve lost being on the road [and] in the studio as a child, and I just want to blow that sh** up.”
The singer further explains, “I have a lot of awards and things that are amazing, I worked my a** off and probably harder than anybody I know to get those things, but nothing feels like my child saying ‘Mommy.’ Nothing feels like when I look at my husband in the eyes.”
Beyonce released her album last week to millions of iTunes fans who were both surprised and delighted to hear something new from the Grammy Award winning artist. Blue is Beyonce and husband Jay-Z’s first child together.
