Christmas is officially in full swing at the White House. The nation’s Christmas tree was delivered to Washington over the weekend, marking the official start of this joyous season. Sasha and Malia waited in anticipation for the tree to arrive, looking stylish as ever in winter wear. Malia held the family dog on a leash as she stood by her sister and mom.
It was just a few days ago that the Obamas pardoned the turkey right before Thanksgiving. Sasha and Malia smiled as their father stretched out his hand and allowed the bird to live.
“It was, quite literally, the Hunger Games,” said the President. “Popcorn (the turkey), you have a full reprieve from cranberry sauce and stuffing. We wish you well.”
The First Family rings in the Christmas season every year with a large tree and decorations. We can’t wait to see what the First Lady and her daughters have up their sleeve in decorations this year.
