No parents allowed! Siblings Willow and Jaden Smith attended the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Monday (November 18) without mom and dad. The teens walked the red carpet and goofed around in the absence of Will and Jada, showing their personalities to all. Jaden was especially the playful one, coming to the premiere at Nokia Theatre with mis-matched shoes.
Jada and Will have encouraged their kids to be true to themselves on several occasions. Jada wrote on her Facebook wall a few months back, “Develop into your own opinion leader. Need no approval. Be courageous. Be humble. Be loving. Be respectful. Learn about everything. Remember there is more than one truth. The best armor in life is self-love and respect. Don’t trap yourself with the desire of wanting to be liked. Be respected.”
“Trust yourself to be your own confidant. Tell yourself yes more often than no. Don’t take this world personally. Know that every person you come across has something powerful to teach you, especially enemies. Never fail to deliver on your word. Never make yourself smaller for ANYONE. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire features Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark as rebellion leaders that the government seeks to destroy. The greatly anticipated movie makes its debut on Friday (November 22).
