Just when we thought Mel B couldn’t get any more creative with her parenting, she shares her secret for getting her children in the bed. The singer recently told Cosmopolitan magazine that the famous dance offs often featured on her Twitter page are her way of getting her kids to wind down and embrace sleep.
“Evey week my kids and I have a dance off,” said Mel. “I call it a dance off, but it’s really a plan to get them tired to go to bed. We dance to Rihanna and Miley Cyrus and get down and dirty… in a nice way, of course.”
Melanie also talked about her partnership with Real Water, which is an organization that aims to spread awareness about breast cancer and its effects. “The reason I partnered with Real Water to raise breast cancer awareness is that in past I auctioned off a lot of stuff in my house and gave the proceeds to Susan G. Komen,” explained the star. “Every 74 seconds someone dies from breast cancer and, without going into details, I’ve had my own scare and since I’m all about girl power, this is just something I really feel passionate about. Especially because it’s something that can be caught early on.”
Mel B is the proud mother of three girls. Phoenix is the star’s eldest and Angel along with Madison are her younger children.
