While some say that troubled couples with children should stay together for the kids’ sake, Tiffney Cambridge believes otherwise. The reality star recently told Sister 2 Sister that happiness should come before all else in a relationship, and that couples shouldn’t stay together for superficial reasons.
“All children deserve to be in a home that has a mother and a father,” said Cambridge. “[But] if you’re arguing in front of your kids and when you can’t come together, it will probably be best to break up. I don’t believe in doing any arguing, fighting and all that in front of children. It really depends on what’s going on and the individual relationship.”
The reality star added, “I try not to look at other people’s relationship as like a barometer. I don’t compare or gauge my relationship with someone else’s… [In co-parenting] I don’t think there’s ever going to be a point where you don’t deal with the person. [But] I think that if the couple desires to be together and make it work and there’s still love there…, people work things out. I think it’s commendable that people want to keep their families together and strong.”
Tiffney recently called off her engagement to Jayceon Taylor, a.k.a. The Game, because of her and the rap star’s constant bickering and lack of affection for one another. Although she and the entertainer are not planning on walking down the aisle anytime soon, they are working hard to communicate with one another as they co-parent their kids.
Tiffney and Jayceon have two children-King Justice and Cali Dream-together. You can catch the entire Cambridge-Taylor clan every week on their reality show, ‘Marrying the Game,’ which is currently airing on VH1.
