Holly Robinson-Peete and son Roman smile for the cameras at the Stella & Dot VIP Trunk Show benefiting The HollyRod foundation. The trunk show was held at Georgetown Cupcake in Los Angeles, and honored families dealing with the effects of autism.
The HollyRod foundation has been working hard to positively impact the lives of children affected by autism, and recently reaped the benefits of its labor with a $500,000 donation from Fuhu, Inc. Holly was every bit excited to accept the large donation on behalf of her and husband Rodney Peete Sr.’s organization telling media, “We are so thankful to Fuhu for their significant donation, and for their ongoing support of the HollyRod foundation.
Our families share a mutual understanding of the importance of resources for autism and a desire to see results that can help them now. Together we are committed to shining a light on autism and this generous donation will allow us to serve even more children and parents living with this growing disorder.”
Holly has become a strong advocate for autism awareness since her eldest son, Rodney Jr., was diagnosed with the disorder several years ago. She and Rodney Sr. have four kids together.
