Halle Berry has long wished to live in beautiful France but will wait until her daughter is an adult to move out of the States. The actress recently told the Daily Mail that her plans to move to France with fiance Olivier Martinez will have to wait until Nahla is 18-years-old and off to college.
“It probably won’t be until my daughter is 18 and off to college,” said ‘The Call’ actress. “When Nahla turns 18, she’ll be legally able to make her own decisions about where she wants to be and I think that then, when she’s off on her own, we’ll move there. It’s where I want to end my days, that’s for sure.”
Although excited about moving to France, Halle is holding off on learning the language until she walks the streets of Paris and Nice. “I was told very lovingly by [Olivier] not to work on it too hard now but to wait until we get to live there,” explained the actress to media. “He thinks I’ll have an easier time when we’re living there and immersed in the culture- if we ever get to go that is.”
Nahla is Halle and ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry’s only child together. The couple were in an exclusive relationship for four years before announcing their separation in 2010.
