Actress Chandra Wilson and daughter Joy were in attendance for the Habitat For Humanity celebrity building event on September 29, 2012 in Culver City, California. The Wilsons, along with other volunteers, framed walls for affordable and sustainable homes to be constructed in the local community in 2013.
Cause:
Nearly 100 million people around the world are homeless. Habitat for Humanity provides shelter and housing solutions to help these families recover.
The non-profit organization was “founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. We build with people in need regardless of race or religion. We welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds.”
Chandra has two children in all.
