Learning to speak French is now fun and easy with The Annabelle Book Series!! ENTER NOW to WIN… you could be 1 of FIVE LUCKY WINNERS!
In this first volume of “The Annabelle Book Series”, Annabelle teaches young readers how to say the Alphabet in French. Annabelle is a multi-cultural little girl who is stylish, well-traveled, and sports a beautiful head of big & bouncy natural hair. She uses a method of word association to teach the young reader French with the help of English words. As a way of making this book seem less like a lesson, and more like a fun adventure, Annabelle points to many images and travels to various locations to entertain the readers, and to help them visually connect the alphabet with these images. This book is very unique in that it not only features a child of color teaching the young reader a foreign language, but also does it with visual and linguistic aids.
This book is written by France Frederic, an engineer who speaks French and sports her own set of big & bouncy natural hair. In an excerpt from the book, France explains that “After many years spent listening to people butcher the words I would teach them, I’ve come to learn that when the French word was associated with a word in the English language, people had an easier time pronouncing and remembering it. It was then that a light bulb went off in my head and I got the inspiration to write this book.”
This book is the first in a series of books that will focus on the adventures of Annabelle as she teaches the readers everything from foreign languages to stories about the world. She hopes that children reading this book will not only learn something valuable, but will enjoy themselves in the process.
