Nia Long is a mother and health guru. The actress is a stickler for healthy living, and makes sure that her sons Massai,10, and Kez, 7 months, maintain a balance between diet and exercise.


“[Exercise] is a very important part of my regimen and I am making sure that my sons learn about it as well,” says Nia. “Massai loves to play baseball, but we go hiking and are always keeping active.”

Although she believes that physical activity is key to wellness, Long also thinks that a good diet is essential to healthy living. “We eat as a family, very healthy. Although we cheat sometimes, veggies and fruits are a must,” explains the star.

So how does this mom balance it all?

“I make sure to put family first and always try to be a great example to my children by giving back and working hard,” she says.
