Kiyan Anthony is the splitting image of his father in more ways than one. Carmelo recently told the story of a photograph in his living room that was taken when he was a small lad. While Carmelo and wife La La know that the picture is dated back to the time when Carmelo was little, Kiyan is convinced that the photo is one of himself. According to the NBA player, every time the five-year-old passes the picture, he asks, “Dad when did I take this photo?” The NBA star also talks about other things pertaining to fatherhood in an exclusive interview with Loren’s World.
On life changes that fatherhood has brought him:
“It has made me see things different. I now think twice about my actions. Everything I do affects my son Kiyan.”
On balancing career, social, and home life:
“Sometimes I bring my friends along while traveling so they can explore a new world outside of the norm. It’s always satisfying to be able to bring people along who might not be able to get the same opportunity to see the world how I see it or when they are with me. As far as family, for me it always comes first.”
On what Kiyan likes and how he makes him smile:
“We love to watch movies together, take him to museums, watch sports and the National Geographic channel. When he recaps my basketball games, it makes me smile.”
On what Kiyan does that makes him smile:
“When he recaps my basketball games, it makes me smile.”
