On being a disciplinarian: Oh, boy. Am I allowed to say? I mean, i don’t want to have child services knocking on my door. Well, my son is an infant, so I haven’t gotten there yet. My daughter is a Taurus like me, so we are both stubborn. I introduce the word “no” really early. I don’t wait until they’re one-year-old and they’re looking at you like, whatever. The most important thing is that i have a partner…when he says [something], it’s a totally different ball game.

On being married for more than 10 years:
We were 18 and 19 when we got married, which is crazy. It was to our benefit that we were so young and we didn’t overthink it. It wasn’t about anything other than we love each other. Luckily, it worked out. We’re both in the same business. When we met, I was on a TV show and he was modeling all over the world. For my sweet 16, he called me from London while on a Versace shoot. We started off young and doing our thing in Hollywood and we grew into adults going through the same things. I think our foundation is really strong.

On balancing motherhood with her career:
Some may say that i put motherhood ahead of my career because I got pregnant in 2006 right when my last TV show ended. People tell me all the time they want to see me in new stuff. I’ve done independent films and I’m on my cartoon now, but people are like “When are you going back to work?”… I just love being a mom and what i’m doing now, which is producing and writing.
