Disney is teaming up with Michelle Obama to honor the troops. Obama along with several Disney stars are collaborating to spread awareness about “Joining Forces;” an initiative created by the first lady and Vice President Biden’s wife designed to honor members of the Armed Forces.
China Anne McClain is one of many celebrities assisting with the initiative. She will encourage individuals to support service men and women by discussing her personal account of having a family member enlisted. McClain along with other celebrities will be featured in Disney’s channel via interstitial message beginning Friday, November 11, 2011.
The effort is a great way to raise awareness of sacrifices made for freedom, and may also serve as a tribute to veterans.
