NFL player LaDainian Tomlinson and his wife LaTorsha have a new addition to their family and his name is-Daylen Oliver(born July 7th, 2010). The couple chose the name Daylen, which means “little mountain”, because of it’s uniqueness.

“With what we went through with our first child, the name was just perfect,” Ladainian says. “We had to go over our mountain, climb over it to get to this moment.”

In 2005, Torsha gave birth to the couple’s first child, a stillborn daughter named Mckiah Renee. Later Torsha was diagnosed with Sjögren’s Syndrome, an autoimmune diseases that cuts off blood to the fetus. The diagnosis made the Tomlinsons very careful with their second pregnancy.

“Every day I look at Daylen, I love him so much,” LaTorsha says. “It’s an overwhelming love. It’s something you can’t explain, something you’ve never felt before.”

Ladainian describes seeing his son for the first time.

“It was the most amazing moment of my life,” Tomlinson says. “I wanted to see what he looked like. I kept thinking, ‘Don’t fumble! Don’t fumble!’ I was staring at him and I started to cry.”
