Alexis Ohanian and his daughter Olympia enjoyed a special father-daughter night out at a New York Liberty game.
The Reddit co-founder took his 8-year-old daughter courtside for Thursday’s game in Brooklyn, where the pair hung out with the Liberty’s popular mascot, Ellie the Elephant.
Photos from their night showed Olympia sitting alongside Ellie, while another video captured the mascot dancing on the court as the father-daughter duo watched from their seats.
“Papa-Daughter basketball night with @bigellieliberty @nyliberty makes me realize all my teams need a mascot this awesome… thanks, Ellie, you made Jr’s night!” Ohanian captioned the post.
Olympia and her younger sister, Adira, 3, have also been spending time with their dad at the US Open while supporting their mom, Serena Williams.
Earlier in the week, the girls joined Ohanian at the tournament, where Olympia was photographed holding her little sister as he wrapped an arm around them.
“Always cheering for mama @serenawilliams (and @carlitosalcarazz !!),” he wrote.
Williams returned to the US Open this year for the first time since 2022, competing in mixed doubles alongside Carlos Alcaraz.
The pair defeated Erin Routliffe and Lloyd Glasspool before falling to Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli in the quarterfinals.
The New York outings follow a special “Papa-Daughter” vacation to Tokyo in July, a trip Olympia had apparently been planning for some time.
After years of traveling to the city alone for work, Ohanian was excited to finally experience Tokyo with his daughter.
“Tokyo is such an amazing city and after years of coming here for work solo I’m so happy I got to bring @olympiaohanian with me for a Papa-Daughter vacation,” he shared.
Olympia had plenty on her Tokyo wish list. During the trip, she met Sanrio character My Melody, fed capybaras and sampled everything from wagyu to conveyor belt sushi. The two also ended one of their nights with taiyaki.
“She’s been asking and planning this one for a minute now from meeting My Melody to feeding capybaras to wagyu to conveyor belt sushi to late night taikyaki I hope she knows how much fun I had,” Ohanian wrote.
Around the time of their Tokyo trip, the entrepreneur shared another sweet moment with Olympia while reflecting on what being a father has meant to him.
“Young man, there’s no way to explain this feeling, but I hope you get the chance to experience it for yourself,” he wrote. “Fatherhood is the best.”
He and Williams welcomed Olympia in September 2017 and Adira in August 2023. The couple has been married since 2017.
