Lil Durk has made a name for himself as one of Chicago’s biggest rappers, but away from music, he is also a father with a large blended family.
The Grammy winner, born Durk Banks, is currently back in the headlines as his federal murder-for-hire trial gets underway in Los Angeles. Durk has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
His wife, India Royale, who is the mother of his youngest biological child, Willow, has been among those supporting him in court. She joined Durk’s father, Dontay “Big Durk” Banks, and other family and friends in the courtroom as opening statements began on Aug. 24.
How Many Kids Does Lil Durk Have?
Lil Durk is the father of seven biological children: Angelo, Bella, Zayden, Romeo, Du’mier, Skylar and Willow. He also considers India Royale’s older daughter, Skylar, his own.
In addition to his biological and bonus child, Durk has helped raise his late brother OTF DThang’s two children following his death in 2021.
Here’s a closer look at Lil Durk’s family.
Angelo Banks
Angelo Banks is Lil Durk’s oldest child. The rapper welcomed his son with Nicole Covone in 2011.
Durk and Covone began dating in 2008 and went on to welcome two children together.
Over the years, Durk has proudly supported Angelo at his football games. More recently, Angelo celebrated another major milestone when he graduated from junior high school in May 2026 and prepared to head to high school.
India Royale joined Nicole and other members of the family to celebrate Angelo at his graduation while Durk remained in federal custody.
Durk previously gave fans some insight into Angelo’s personality during a 2023 interview with XXL.
“Angelo, sneaky. He like me, like quiet time, but when he get comfortable, he talk and play and do what he supposed to do,” he said.
Bella Banks
Durk and Nicole Covone welcomed their second child together, daughter Bella Banks, in 2013.
The pair eventually went their separate ways following Bella’s birth.
Like her older brother, Bella has mostly grown up outside of the spotlight, but Durk had plenty to say about his daughter when XXL asked him to describe his children.
“Bella, outspoken, gonna say what’s on her mind,” he said. “Super smart and don’t play about me.”
Zayden Banks
A few months after Bella’s birth, Durk welcomed another son, Zayden Banks. The identity of Zayden’s mother has not been publicly confirmed.
Durk described Zayden as the tech-savvy one of the family during his XXL interview.
“Zayden’s super smart,” he said. “He like computers and stuff.”
Zayden later spoke out in support of his father following Durk’s arrest in October 2024.
“I want to take a moment to stand up for my dad, Durk Banks,” Zayden wrote in a statement shared on his Instagram account.
“He has always dedicated his life to uplifting others and giving back to our community through his nonprofit organization, Neighborhood Heroes. Beyond that, he is a great father who has always supported and loved our family unconditionally.”
Romeo Banks
Durk shares son Romeo Banks with Travonna Craig.
Romeo’s relationship with his father became a public topic in 2022 after Craig called out the rapper on Instagram for leaving Romeo’s name out of a post about his children.
Craig also claimed at the time that Durk had failed to appear in court amid a paternity dispute involving their son. According to Craig, a DNA test obtained through Durk’s mother had shown a genetic match.
Durk has since publicly acknowledged Romeo as his son.
Du’mier Banks
Durk welcomed son Du’mier Banks in 2014. The identity of Du’mier’s mother has not been publicly confirmed.
While Durk has kept much of his son’s life private, he offered a glimpse into Du’mier’s personality during his XXL interview.
“Du’mier, he know the songs. He wants chains,” Durk said. “He come with his own money in his pocket.”
Skylar Banks, AKA “Baby Sky”
Durk also has a daughter named Skylar, affectionately known as “Baby Sky.”
Skylar’s mother is widely reported to be a woman named Tameka Kute, although Durk has not publicly confirmed her identity.
When asked about his children by XXL, Durk kept his description of Baby Sky short and sweet.
“Baby Sky crazy like me,” he said.
She should not be confused with India Royale’s older daughter, who is also named Skylar and is known within the family as “Big Sky.”
Willow Banks
Willow Banks is Durk’s youngest biological child and his daughter with India Royale.
Durk and Royale began their relationship in 2017 and welcomed Willow in October 2018.
Willow frequently appears alongside her mother and older sister on social media.
Durk also gave XXL a playful description of his youngest daughter’s personality, saying, “Willow’s mean and sneaky.”
Skylar, AKA “Big Sky”
India Royale has an older daughter named Skylar from a previous relationship, but Durk has long considered her one of his own.
In fact, when XXL asked Durk how many children he had in 2023, he included Big Sky in his answer.
“Big Sky is India’s daughter. You know I’ve been there for her. So, she one of mines,” he said.
Durk also described Skylar as smart and joked that she tries to teach him how to dress.
Durk Is Also Raising His Late Brother’s Children
Durk’s family extends beyond his seven biological children and bonus daughter.
Following the death of his older brother, Dontay “DThang” Banks Jr., in 2021, Durk stepped in to help raise his niece and nephew.
Fans got a rare look at the entire blended family on Father’s Day in 2024, when India Royale shared a photo of Durk surrounded by 10 children — his seven biological children, bonus daughter Skylar and his late brother’s two children.
Earlier that day, Durk expressed his excitement about having everyone together for the holiday.
“I got all my kids for Father’s Day,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories. “This is what a definition of a man is.”
