Vybz Kartel and his fiancée, Sidem Öztürk, are expecting their first child together.
The dancehall star shared the news during his headlining performance at Reggae Land UK on Sunday in front of thousands of concertgoers at the Milton Keynes National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England.
During his set, Kartel paused and told the audience to “read between the lines.” Moments later, he launched into his 2009 hit Come Breed Me before walking over to Öztürk and placing his hand on her baby bump. The crowd immediately erupted in cheers as fans realized the couple had just confirmed they were expecting.

Videos of the announcement quickly spread across social media, with many fans celebrating the news.
“Congratulations on your new baby. I’m so happy for you. God bless you, Vybz,” one person wrote on Instagram.
“Everyone having babies in their 50s, goddamn. Congrats to the Dancehall King!!!!!!!” another commented.
“I’ve never been SO genuinely excited and happy for a couple I don’t know in real life, like these 2 ugh,” a third fan added.
Kartel and Öztürk have been publicly linked for several years, with Öztürk frequently accompanying the entertainer to concerts, industry events, and other public appearances.
Though the baby will be the couple’s first child together, Kartel is a father to seven children from previous relationships.
Earlier this year, he met his daughter, Amani, for the first time and documented the reunion on Instagram alongside photos of the pair posing together outdoors.
“Words could never fully express how happy I felt in this moment,” Kartel wrote. “Meeting my daughter Amani for the very first time has filled my heart in ways I can’t even explain.”
He added, “I never thought a woman could make me nervous. But standing beside my daughter for the first time humbled me deeply.”
