Bow Wow had a special guest by his side at the 2026 BET Awards—his 15-year-old daughter, Shai Moss.

The father-daughter duo arrived at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater in coordinated looks, with Shai turning heads in a red ruched mini dress while Bow Wow complemented her style in a burgundy tuxedo jacket paired with black trousers and a bow tie.

While speaking to E News, Bow Wow opened up about fatherhood. The rapper, whose real name is Shad Gregory Moss, shared the latest milestone that has him beaming with pride.

“My daughter is driving,” he said. “That’s a proud moment right there.”

Bow Wow, who also shares 6-year-old son Stone with ex Olivia Sky, said one of the best parts of watching his children grow up is being able to include them in moments like the BET Awards.

“Both of them, my son and my daughter, know who dad is,” he said. “They know what I do. The good thing is that now that they’re of age, I get to bring them along for these moments. Shai is here. She’s in her own glam room. My daughter’s about to come down here and hang out with dad.”

Although he’s spent most of his life in the spotlight, Bow Wow said fatherhood remains his greatest role.

“Even though I’m Bow Wow, Mr. 106, I’m still dad at the same time. I’ll be happy to do them both.”

As Shai continues pursuing a career in entertainment after making her acting debut in 2021, Bow Wow said he’s been honest with both of his children about the realities of the industry.

“If they want to do it, I would tell them, ‘Just take it easy, don’t trust nobody,'” he explained. “It’s gonna be easy for them, because they got me and I’ve done it, so they got kind of like a cheat code. Just be prepared for the peer pressure, the things that come with the game. You’re gonna have people that’s gonna lure you in and try to do different things here and there, and people that’s gonna try to rip you off. It’s a lot of snakes in this business, and just look out for those negative things.”

Even so, Bow Wow said his children won’t have to navigate those challenges on their own.

“That’s what I’m here for: to protect them, guide ’em, and shield ’em from that,” he said. “So those things won’t happen.”
