Jason Momoa stepped out with his two children, daughter Lola Iolani Momoa, 18, and son Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa, 17, at SuperGirl’s fan event held June 18 in London, England.
For the occasion, the actor looked sharp in a charcoal-gray suit paired with his signature tinted sunglasses. His children coordinated with him in stylish black ensembles of their own.
Nakoa-Wolf wore a sleeveless black vest without a shirt underneath, while Lola opted for a classic strapless black dress. She added a unique touch to her outfit by wearing Y2K-style headphones with bright orange foam earpads around her neck as a statement accessory.
Momoa has been keeping busy with several projects slated for release this year. In addition to Supergirl, the actor is set to appear in the upcoming live-action Street Fighter film and is expected to reprise his role as Duncan Idaho in Dune: Part Three.
The highly anticipated sequel will also feature Nakoa-Wolf.
Speaking on an episode of SmartLess Podcast, Momoa revealed that his son landed the role entirely on his own after going through the audition process.
According to the actor, Nakoa-Wolf initially joined him on the project to observe filmmaking and learn more about the business. However, after submitting an audition tape, the teenager was invited to London to test for one of the film’s key young roles.
Momoa admitted he was more nervous watching his son audition than he ever was for himself.
“Dude, what?” he recalled thinking after learning Nakoa-Wolf had been invited to test. “I have to fly from New Zealand to London and my son goes into a room with Denis Villeneuve and he has to test with five girls and it’s 3½ hours long. I’m so f—— stressed out.”
The proud father said Nakoa-Wolf ultimately won the role on his own merit.
“He did it on his own. I didn’t help him at all,” Momoa said.
The experience became even more emotional once filming began.
“His first goddamn scene, I’m sitting there, s—ing my pants. He’s with Zendaya. He’s in it. And I’m like, ‘My baby, 16 years old.’ And he just killed it. I’m just crying. I was a f–king wreck. I was so proud of him.”
Jason shares Lola and Nakoa-Wolf with ex-wife Lisa Bonet.
