Sara Marley is officially a high school graduate.
The daughter of Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley recently celebrated the milestone surrounded by both of her parents, her siblings, and other loved ones.
Rohan took to his Instagram this week to share a video showcasing the family members who attended in support of the graduate.
Alongside the clip, he wrote, “To Our Graduate, @whoissaramarley Sara Marley. May your mind be filled with knowledge, your spirit with purpose, and your heart with Love. Your Father & Mother. We are so proud of you.”
The graduation comes just a few months after Sara announced that she would be attending the University of Miami, where she plans to study sociology.
The college decision held special significance for Rohan, who attended the university himself. After Sara committed, he reflected on the connection they now share and what it means to see his daughter continue her education at his alma mater.
“The next chapter after high school , of course it’s Tha University of Miami. The place that shaped me long before you ever knew my name — a place filled with dreams, challenges, friendships, and moments that helped me become the person I am today. It’s my alma mater, and it holds a special corner of my heart,” he wrote.
Rohan also shared why he was excited for Sara to begin her journey there.
“I want to show it to you not because I expect you to follow my path, but because I want you to see where I learned to believe in myself,” he wrote. “I want you to walk the same paths I once walked, feel the energy of possibility in the air, and know that you can build your own future wherever your heart leads you.”
He concluded the post with a family declaration that Hurricanes fans know well: “We do bleed orange and green.”
Rohan Marley and Lauryn Hill share five children together: Zion, Selah, Joshua, also known as YG Marley, John, and Sara. Hill is also mom to son Micah from another relationship.
