YG AND CATELYN JENNEFER CELEBRATE DAUGHTER HARMONY’S 11TH BIRTHDAY AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GRADUATION

YG and Catelyn Jennefer had a lot to celebrate this past weekend.

Their daughter Harmony officially turned 11 and graduated from elementary school all in the same weekend.

Photos from the celebration showed Harmony posing with family and friends during what looked like an outdoor backyard party with green and black balloon displays, gift tables, and flowers everywhere. In another set of pictures, the preteen wore a shiny red graduation dress while holding bouquets and gifts as her mom hugged her tightly.

Another photo showed Harmony standing beside YG in matching neutral outfits during the party.

“I now have a 11 yr old 6 grader all in 1 weekend,” Catelyn wrote on Instagram. “scroll to the last slides to see why I’ve been crying all weekend.”

Harmony also posted about the big weekend on her own page.

“I turned 11 & graduated to middle school all in 1 weekend!” she wrote. “thank you to everyone that showed up and supported me.”

YG is dad to daughters Harmony Jackson, who was born in 2015, and Vibe Jackson, who was born in 2019.

The rapper has previously spoken about how becoming a father changed his outlook on life, especially after Harmony was born. During an interview, the rapper recalled a shooting that happened shortly after her birth and said the moment pushed him to start moving differently and being more mindful about the people and spaces around him.

“The place I got shot at, my daughter was there but she had just left,” he said. “That sh*t right there had me trippin’ because my daughter was supposed to be there. I was like, ‘Nah, bro. I gotta change.’”

“I started changing how I was moving,” he continued. “My movement, people, being in certain spaces, and knowing where I was at, that started to change.”

The rapper also shared that raising daughters has influenced the way he carries himself as a man.

“[Harmony] really calmed medown. She was definitely the reason why I came home a lot of the time. Now, my kids are older and they’re watching. It’s tough. It’s different because you’re trying to raise your daughters to be very respectable women; so you can’t be trying to teach them and tell them to be like this but you’re out here doing something else,” he explained.
