Following the event, Donald shared photos from the premiere on Instagram and praised the upcoming film in the caption.
“This is not an ad… This is the way,” he wrote. “What a fun action packed monster movie! The kids loved it!”
He also thanked several people involved with the project, including Pedro Pascal, Lucasfilm, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
“@skywalkersound @pascalispunk @ilmvfx @lucasfilm @jonfavreau @dave.filoni and @starwars we appreciate the fun filled evening,” he added.
Faison is a father of six children from three different relationships. His oldest son, Sean Faison-Ince, was born in 1996. He also shares twins Dade and Kaya, born in 1999, and son Kobe, born in 2001, with his late ex wife Lisa Askey. Rocco, born in 2013, and Wilder Frances Faison, born in 2015, are his children with Cobb.
In 2016, Faison opened up to Wonderwall about fatherhood and watching his children grow up.
“You know, when they’re born they’re pretty much a glob of clay that pees and poops and sleeps and cries and screams,” he said. “And then, in time, they start forming. Their bones stiffen up and all of a sudden they’re walking and you can’t believe it. And then from walking they start expressing themselves. It’s great to watch Rocco. It’s great to watch Wilder grow because they’re a lot like me and their mom which is cool to see.”
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is scheduled to hit theaters on May 22, 2026. The PG-13 adventure follows Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, and Grogu as they navigate a galaxy still recovering after the fall of the Empire.
Directed by Jon Favreau, the movie also stars Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White, with music by Ludwig Göransson.
