LARSA PIPPEN OPENS UP ABOUT CO-PARENTING WITH EX-HUSBAND SCOTTIE PIPPEN

Larsa Pippen is keeping it real about life after divorce and what it’s like co-parenting with her ex-husband, NBA legend Scottie Pippen.

The Real Housewives of Miami star appeared on a recent episode of the I Do, Part 2 podcast, where she opened up about finding balance while raising their four children, Scotty Jr., 24, Preston, 23, Justin, 20, and Sophia, 16.

“It’s funny because when I was going through my divorce and ‘til today… it’s funny because Scottie and I fight over the kids, like he shows them so much love, I show them so much love,” the 51-year-old admitted during the conversation.

The reality star explained that sometimes their kids get caught in the middle of that love, especially when both parents want to spend time with them.

Larsa recalled one particular moment involving their youngest daughter.

“She was so upset, and I’m like, it’s okay, go to Arkansas with your dad, like he loves you so much, he’s so proud of it, you want to take you to visit his family,” she said, referring to Thanksgiving plans last year. “But I was thinking, like, I guess it’s a good problem to have both your parents are fighting for you and want you. That’s like a good feeling, you know?”

Larsa and Scottie married in 1997 and were together for nearly two decades before announcing their separation in 2016. Their divorce was finalized in 2021.

In a statement to Us Weekly at the time, attorney David J. Glass confirmed, “All issues were resolved amicably. The parties are now focusing on successfully coparenting their remaining minor children.”

Larsa later admitted the process took longer than she ever expected.

“I feel like it was three years. I was like, ‘Is it ever gonna be over?’ It’s the longest divorce in history,” she told Us Weekly. “I’m kind of glad that like, you know, we are where we are today. The divorce is over, we’re still in a great place and our kids are older too.”

Even with the challenges that come from ending a long marriage, Larsa says she and Scottie have found peace, and mutual respect, in their new chapter as co-parents.

“I wish my kids would have had, you know, a mom and dad in the same home. I felt guilty because I just, you know, I grew up with my mom and dad,” she shared.

“I wanted my kids to grow up like that, but as far as our relationship, it couldn’t be better than it is right now. To be honest with you, we’re like, in such a great place. We love each other. We’re always gonna support each other. We support our kids, you know, we’re just in a really good place.”
