Beyoncé officially kicked off her Cowboy Carter Tour on Monday, April 28, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The Grammy winner opened the first of five shows at the venue, drawing a crowd that included celebrity parents and their kids.
Beyoncé Brings Blue Ivy and Rumi On Stage
Beyoncé made the opening night a special one by bringing her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, to the stage.
While Blue has joined her mom for performances in the past, this marked Rumi’s first time participating in a live show.
Fans in the stadium, many dressed in western-inspired looks, were emotional watching the three generations of Carter women share the spotlight.
Victoria Monét Takes Daughter Hazel to Her First Concert
Among the celeb attendees was singer-songwriter Victoria Monét, who had a full-circle moment of her own. She brought her daughter Hazel to her first concert — and it had to be Beyoncé.
“One of my all-time biggest dreams came true,” Monét shared on Instagram. “Hazel has been a fan of [Beyoncé’s] music since before she could walk… she really enjoyed seeing everyone else dressed in the same theme once we arrived! She was excited!!!”
Monét said Hazel was captivated the entire time, and especially lit up when Blue Ivy and Rumi appeared. “She’s also a HUGE fan of Blue and was pleasantly surprised to see her and Rumi on stage! When they left the stage she said, ‘Where did her daughter go?’”
Other Famous Faces in the Crowd
The star-studded night also brought out familiar faces like Beyonce’s nephew, Julez Smith, and Vanessa Bryant, who attended with her daughter Natalia Bryant.
As Gabrielle union, who was in attendace with bonus daughter Zaya Wade, summed up on social media, “This ain’t Texas, but @beyonce made it feel like it.”
The Cowboy Carter Tour continues its run at SoFi Stadium, with more shows scheduled in the coming days. For those who haven’t grabbed tickets yet, there are still reasonably priced options available for the remaining Los Angeles dates.
