Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is bringing some holiday cheer to his fans by sharing the playful antics of his daughters’ Elf on the Shelf. Known for his larger-than-life persona, Johnson has embraced the festive tradition, offering a glimpse into the mischievous adventures of the elf as it finds creative ways to surprise his girls.
In an Instagram reel, the 52-year-old shared that the “Christmas Elves are really getting under my skin”.
The Fast and Furious actor began his caption of the adorable video, These Christmas Elves are really getting under my skin!! And now on my toes while I was asleep – forcing me to wake up to this VERY unfunny surprise. If I’m being honest, I think red polish actually brings out even more hyper masculinity and undeniable sexiness, no?”
He concluded the post, “Or maybe I’m just an a**hole for even picking up the Elf to begin with, putting its magic in jeopardy. And I love you @kevinhart4real #elvesgonewild #johnsoncasa.”
So, if you haven’t watched the video, let’s recap the meaning of the caption.
The clip starts with Johnson’s two daughters, Jasmine (8) and Tiana (6), giggling as their dad says, “This is crazy. I wake up in the morning and my toes are painted!” The camera pans for us to see all ten of Johnson’s toes painted neatly in bright red.
One of Johnson’s daughter exclaims, “Oh dad, there’s a lot more than just that!” while leading Johnson over to their group of Elf on the Shelfs spread out on the kitchen island. And you guessed it, one of them is holding a bottle of red nail polish.
More giggles and conversation ensue, and Johnson does the unspeakable, he touches an elf!
“Don’t touch it!” both girls yell simultaneously.
One then explains that the elf “…will lose its magic.” One of the girls can be heard in the background yelling, “He touched the elf!”
Crisis averted and Johnson assures his kids, “Only adults can touch it,” then he ends the video with a zinger directed towards his friend, Kevin Hart. “At least they’re all bigger than Kevin Hart.”
Johnson is father to three children: Simone, 23, with whom he shares with his ex-wife Dany Garcia, and Jasmine, and Tiana, with whom he shares with wife, Lauren Hashian.
