The drama between Erica Mena and her ex-husband, Safaree Samuels, has reached new heights.
Mena took to Instagram today to fire back after Safaree’s now-viral video, where he accused her of being “toxic” and making it difficult for him to see their two children, Safire and Legend. In his video, Safaree shared footage of Erica allegedly trashing his house in front of their kids.
Erica responded with a post on her Instagram, which she quickly deleted. However, the message left no doubt that she was ready to set the record straight. In her post, she shared a video of their daughter Safire recounting a moment where Safaree allegedly kicked their son Legend, causing him to fall.
“It really is no coincidence that this man leaked his own court documents to falsely claim he has the kids majority of the time,” Erica captioned the post. “It’s no coincidence that all of a sudden he’s a YouTuber and waited all this time to so call tell his ‘truth’ all just for views.”
Erica revealed her frustrations with Safaree, accusing him of manipulating the narrative to fit his public image. “I’ve been sparing him for so long! His triggering, violating BS he has been doing for 3 years,” she continued.
She also touched on Safaree’s alleged mistreatment of their son, Legend, claiming that Safire was aware of it and even commented on it.
“For Safire to speak so clear on the things that you do and tell her baby brother – saying that legend isn’t your son, which is probably why you thought mistreating him in your home since he was a baby with no one around. How could you forget all these parts?”
In addition to accusing Safaree of using their situation for views on YouTube, Erica Mena provided further context regarding the video in which she appears entering his home with a ladder.
“This all happened in 2023. This so-called restraining order he’s talking about he tried to get was in 2024 and very out the blue, and that was after his attempt to try and get back with me in May 2024.”
Erica added that Safaree wasn’t sharing the full story. “The one of me being enraged was because he violated my body—I wanted answers on why he would put my health in jeopardy, but he’s not admitting that part.”
She also claimed that Safaree eventually dropped his restraining order attempt due to the overwhelming evidence she had against him.
As for the children, the mom of three dismantled Safaree’s claims about his difficulty in seeing them. She pointed out that when Safaree had the kids in July, he immediately placed them in summer camp rather than spending quality time with them.
“You had them in July, picked them up on Friday the 4th, and put them right into a summer camp… those days you actually had with your kids, you weren’t even trying to spend quality time with them.”
Erica concluded her fiery response by calling out Safaree’s behavior, saying, “All of a sudden, he’s a YouTuber and wants to be honest with the world… this whole [thing] was planned by him, and I’m not surprised.”
She later emphasized the need for a resolution for the sake of their children, adding, “Nonetheless, it is crucial that i put an end to this turmoil. I am commited to taking the initiative to stop this.”
