NBA star Anthony Edwards is making headlines for more than just his skills on the court. The Minnesota Timberwolves’ shooting guard has alleged;y welcomed his fourth child in the past 12 months, this time with Ayesha Howard, the former partner of rapper Lil Baby.
Edwards’ journey into fatherhood started in September 2023 when his first child, a daughter named Aris, was born. A month later, in October, he celebrated the birth of his son, Amir.
By March 2024, Edwards had his third child, a daughter, with his girlfriend Shannon, one of Chief Keef’s ex-girlfriends. Now, Edwards has filed for paternity for his latest child with Ayesha, bringing his total to four children in under a year.
This isn’t the first time Edwards has faced paternity challenges. Last year, Amir’s mom, Ally, took to Instagram, claiming that Edwards was the father of her child as well. Under the handle @iamallyd, she posted photos of her baby, screenshots of conversations, and even a positive DNA test to back up her assertions.
In a series of social media posts, Ally revealed that she knew about Edwards’ daughter, born just a month before her own son, and even congratulated him on the new addition. “Dis was in November when I been knew he had a little girl before our son, literally a MONTH before,” she wrote, sharing how she initially congratulated Edwards on his new child.
Her subsequent posts lay bare her frustration. “Ive been nun but a great mom and a cool mf i let yall talk what yall wana say for MONTHS im such a peaceful mf i even prayed for the other children cause end of the mf day them my sons siblings,” she wrote
Her posts didn’t stop there—Ally further alleged that she had been “harassed and talked about so poorly” because of her connection to the basketball player.
“All this mf had to do was leave me out the bs and the [lawyer] stuff foreal im such a peaceful person but when it comes to my son im not about to keep letting the BS keep going period,” she explained.
She also criticized Edwards for not fully acknowledging his children. “Only BUMS don’t claim their children lying about kids etc is sick in the head a WRONG.”
