Lil Baby and Jayda Cheaves marked a significant milestone in their son Loyal’s life as he embarked on his first day of Kindergarten this week.
The proud parents shared their excitement on social media, capturing the moment with a series of photos posted on Loyal’s Instagram account.
In one of the snapshots, the pair, along with Loyal and his big brother Jason, posed together, showcasing their family unity.
The caption read, “Watch out kindergarten here comes @loyalarmani.”
Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, is a father to two children.
Loyal, his son with Jayda Cheaves, and Jason, his son from a previous relationship with Ayesha Howard, are both cherished in his life.
The rapper’s commitment to fatherhood is highlighted in Prime Video’s documentary, Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby. In the film, Lil Baby opens up about the significance of family in his life.
“Family is more important to me than anything,” he reflects. “I don’t ever see me leaving my kids. I don’t wanna be no holiday dad and not just talk to you.”
Lil Baby also reflects on his relationship with his own father and its impact on his parenting in the documentary.
“My dad kind of stayed out of town,” he shares. “It was like I’d see him every now and then, a couple times a year. I can’t really say, to this day, the situation him and my momma had. So, I don’t just have that father/son relationship that I would want, or I feel that I should have had. My son asks me stuff like, ‘Did you used to do this with your daddy?’ And my answer is like, ‘No.’ I really do want him to understand like everybody don’t be having that growing up. I ain’t have it. … He tells me, ‘Daddy, I want to do everything you do.’ And that means the most to me. I take that s**t serious.”
