Breast milk is known to be the ideal food for babies as it provides them with an optimal balance of nutrients for growth. Unfortunately, some mothers are unable to breastfeed their children due to various reasons. In order to assist these mothers, Serena Williams is stepping in by donating her extra “super soldier” breast milk.
The mother-of-two recently shared a video on Instagram of her stored leftover breast milk. She began her caption, “On a recent trip to NY I had left over breast milk. After going through a screening I was able to donate it instead of taking the milk home.”
Williams concluded, “I know so many amazing women that adopt or are unable to make milk. It felt amazing. BTW Someone out there is getting some super soldier milk.”
Instagram users were quick to chime-in in the comments section of Williams’ post about her donation. And some of the comments are hilarious!
One social media user agreed with the “super solider” description, taking it up a level saying that Williams’ milk is “… G.O.A.T. Milk!”
Many commented on how the children that received Serena’s breast milk would become nothing less than tennis legends themselves.
“Some kids backhand just got stronger,” one user wrote.
Another said, “The baby that will drink this milk will become the next Wimbledon’ s winner.”
“The baby‘s gonna pick up a racket by the third pack.”
One user commented on how this was a “wonderful gift” from Williams, noting that the child who receives it would definitely have to live up to it.
“The kid will never hear the end of it. “I gave you Serena Williams milk and you only got a B+?” “I gave you Serena Williams milk and you only got the bronze medal?” “I gave you Serena Williams milk and you won’t do your chores?” Joking aside, that is a wonderful.”
One user simply stated that Serena’s donation is “Liquid gold”.
@serena Ok is this totally weird??? I have to say after a week of using MY breast milk under my eye – it worked! I’m dying to hear your thoughts. Be nice lol 🙈 #momsoftiktok #fyp #foryourpage #serenawilliams #life #beauty #motherhood #momhumour #moms
We have no doubt that Williams’ breast milk is exactly as she describes it to be, a “super soldier”. A few weeks ago, the tennis legend decided to test the topical benefits of her “liquid gold” on TikTok to treat her under eye sunburn.
“So I completely got burned under my eye,” the 42-year-old began her TikTok video. She continued,
“Don’t ask,” she said, adding, “I was in the sun … long story. Anyways, I’m trying some breast milk. It works for my kid — they say put breast milk on everything and I have a lot extra, so I’m gonna try it for a week or so under my eye and see how it goes.”
Williams then went on to apply a few droplets of the breast milk under her eyes, concluding, “I mean, it already feels better, because — it hurts!”
The tennis phenom finished the video letting followers know that there will be a follow-up video to let everyone know just how well the breast milk worked.
“All right, I’ll let you guys know how it goes.”
Although Williams herself has yet to give us an official update, we are guessing that this experiment was merely another game, set, match victory for the athlete.
Williams shares her newborn daughter, Adira River Ohanian, and her six-year-old daughter, Olympia, with tech entrepreneur husband, Alexis Ohanian.
