Michael Bivins, along with his wife Teasha and kids, were all smiles as they posed for a photo at the iconic Rockefeller Center in New York City last week.
The family of six enjoyed some quality time ice skating in the heart of the Big Apple.
Mike took to Instagram to share a series of photos from the excursion. His post read, “Happy Holidays from the #bivfam #nyc #skate #ice @rockefellercenter #lilsupremes @teashabivins #MLB55. Say Less & God Bless…”
Mike and Teasha Bivins are parents to four daughters – Sanaa, Savannah, Shilah, and Starlah.
Teasha Bivins also posted a sweet photo of the girls with the caption, “My girls. Don’t let the sweet faces fool you-all 4 don’t play. #bivfam #daddysgirls #mamasba”.
.As a girl dad, Mike takes his role as a “daddy” seriously, distinguishing it from merely being a father. In a 2015 interview, he explained, “To me, there is a difference between a father and daddy.”
He continued, “Your kids call you Daddy because of the time you spend with them and the love you share with words and moments in the same house. Fathers sometimes don’t live in the house and come around every now and again. When some kids introduce their dads, they say, ‘That’s my father.’ My kids say, ‘That’s my daddy.’”
In addition to their holiday celebrations, the Bivins family has something exciting to look forward to in the coming year.
Mike recently announced that his group, New Edition, is going to be doing a residency in Las Vegas in February 2024!
He said, “It’s so amazing. As a matter of fact, we put up a presale a couple of days ago. All of the presale sold out for the six concerts…. And we are so excited, New Edition. This is on our bucket list as a dream come true.”
