Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards has come under scrutiny following allegations from a woman named, Paige Jordae, who claims that he pressured her to undergo an abortion.
The drama unfolded after Anthony Edwards’ girlfriend, Jeanine Robel, announced a few days ago that she’s expecting her first child with the NBA star.
Jeanine took to Instagram to share a series of maternity photos, captioning, “Mom – a title just above the QUEEN.”
Amid Robel’s joyous announcement, Paige came forward claiming Anthony impregnated her. She revealed that he tried to get her to terminate her pregnancy by offering her $100,000.
Jordae shared screenshots of text messages that showed the 22-year-old basketball star allegedly instructing her to “Get an abortion”. In the messages, Edwards promised to “send you money to help you out.”

Jordae later shared that she tried to handle the matter privately but “my efforts were ignored.”
She continued, “I’ve been lied to and manipulated by someone who know exactly what they’re doing and takes no accountability for anything.”
On Monday, Anthony Edwards released a statement, acknowledging that he made comments in the “heat of the moment”.
“I made comments in the heat of a moment that are not me, and that are not aligned with what I believe and who I want to be as a man,” he wrote.

In addition, Edwards emphasized the importance of supporting women in making their “own decisions about their bodies and what is best for them.”
He concluded his statement by stating that he is addressing personal matters privately and will refrain from commenting further at this time.
Anthony Edwards and Jeanine Robel have have been together for awhile. Prior to being with Edwards, Robel was in a relationship with rapper Chief Keef, with whom she shares a son named Krue.
