Fourteen-year-old golf prodigy, Charlie Woods, has demonstrated that his innate talent for the sport runs deeply in his DNA. The young athlete recently secured his first state golf championship, and his father, Tiger Woods, couldn’t be prouder.

Charlie, along with four other teammates, represented The Benjamin School’s boys team at Florida’s FHSAA Class A state championship. With impressive scores of 78 and 76, Woods played a pivotal role in helping to secure the coveted trophy, landing the school their fourth state title according to USA Today.
As a result of his hard work and dedication to the sport, Charlie finished fourth out of five on his team, tying for 26th overall in the tournament.
This win has given the young Woods a leg-up over his father as Tiger never cinched a state title when he was younger.

The Florida’s FHSAA Class A state championship win came days after the 47-year-old father-of-two caddied for his son at another tournament in Louisiana at the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship.
The young Woods secured his spot at the Louisiana tournament after winning at the Last Chance Regional back in September, where his father also caddied for him there as well.

After his win, Charlie said in an interview that it was “great” to have the golf legend supporting him. He said that the duo “just stay[s] in our own little world” while in competition on the green.
The talented teen athlete continued saying that, “We take it one shot at a time,” adding that his dad “puts me in my place” when he talks about future shots.
“I’ll talk about the next tee shot and he’s like, ‘No. This is the shot we’re going to focus on. Focus up. This is what we’re gonna do.’ ”
Are you anxious to see this dynamic duo tee off together on the green?
Well, you will get your Christmas wish a few days early as Tiger Woods will return to the 2023 PNC Championship from Dec. 16-17 at Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida with Charlie at his side.
In addition 14-year-old Charlie, Tiger Woods and ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, also share 15-year-old daughter, Sam Alexis Woods.
