Kenan Thompson attended the world premiere of “Good Burger 2” in New York City on November 14, 2023 alongside his daughters, Georgia,9, and Gianna,5.
“Yeah, we had a great time last night at the Good Burgers premiere!! Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream come true! Hope you all enjoy it when you see it,” Keenan wrote on Instagram.
Joining Thompson at the premiere was his co-star in the film, Kel Mitchell, who also brought his family along. Mitchell arrived with his wife Asia Lee and their children, daughter Wisdom, 6, and son Honor, 3.
“Good Burger 2” promises to deliver a wave of nostalgia as it resurrects the beloved characters Dexter and Ed, portrayed by Thompson and Mitchell. The dynamic duo embark on a mission to thwart MegaCorp as it seeks to replace the endearing Good Burger employees with robots. Fans of the original cult classic can look forward to a rollercoaster of laughter and nostalgia when “Good Burger 2” premieres on Paramount+ on Wednesday, November 22.
Thompson shares his daughers with his estranged wife, Christina Evangeline. On April 7, 2022, it was announced that the two had been separated for over a year, and are co-parenting their daughters.
In a previous interview, the SNL actor expressed the significance of being a father and husband, stating, “It’s everything. Along with being a husband, that was the goal. I stopped my bachelor life and just was spending a lot of time by myself because they say, when you stop looking, you will find it.”
He continued, “And then I met my wife and we had the same ideology. We wanted to get married and we wanted to start a family and keep a family. It’s my daily focus — is everybody taken care of? And then my other focus is, how am I taking care of everybody. That’s what probably drives me to work like such a maniac. I want to personally satisfy the need to provide like that.”
