Rock, who identifies as poor despite his success in Hollywood, said that his daughter attended a very expensive private school. He found it strange that his kids were skiing, riding horses, and fencing because he never had those experiences growing up.

Lola went on a school trip to Portugal during her senior year, and she and her friends snuck out to go drinking. They were caught, and the parents of the other students hired lawyers to help deal with the incident. Rock said, “Even the ones that were lawyers got lawyers – good lawyers.”

Lola was nonchalant about the whole thing, telling her dad that she would be back in school in no time. He came home to find her “just laughing with, like, three of her little white girlfriends.”

But Rock saw an opportunity to teach his daughter a lesson about her behavior. He went to the school and spoke with Lola’s dean, asking them to kick her out. He said, “I need you to kick my daughter out of this school. I need you to kick her Black ass out of this school. I need my Black child to learn her lesson right now before she is up on OnlyFans and some sh#%.”

The dean complied, and Lola was kicked out of school. But Rock said that things worked out OK in the end. Lola went on to attend college, and Rock’s life is “pretty good,” except for “some weird things.”

Rock’s story raises important questions about parenting and privilege. He was able to use his privilege and connections to get his daughter into a prestigious school, but he also recognized the importance of teaching her accountability and responsibility for her actions.
