Lil Kim and her daughter, Royal Reign, were guests in the spotlight during Friday’s airing of The Nick Cannon Show. The celebrity mom and her little one came to promote Nick’s forthcoming movie, Miracles Across 125th Street.
Lil Kim is featured alongside Nick Cannon in the film, which is meant to get viewers into the Christmas spirit. Kierra Sheard-Kelly, Karen Clark-Sheard, and Fred Hammond are also featured in the movie.
“I’m excited to bring all the uplifting elements of gospel, hip-hop, and comedy together with such an inspiring and talented cast,” Nick Cannon said in a statement. The celebrity father also commented on how he is praying for the miracle of strength this holiday season.
“You pray for miracles,” Nick said during a recent interview with Hoda Kotb of TODAY. “Coming from a faith-based background, it’s not for the miracle to do something that’s unknown to us, but it’s really for the things that we can find comfort in,” the celebrity father shared. “So I asked for the miracle of strength to be able to be here today, and that I find that peace that surpasses all understanding.”
Nick Cannon and Wild ‘N Out model Alyssa Scott are grieving after the death of their 5-month-old son, Zen Cannon, who passed away on December 5, 2021, after battling brain cancer. Zen underwent several treatment measures, which included draining fluid to relieve pressure from the little one’s brain. Chemotherapy was presented as a potential treatment option. Nick Cannon, however, declined such a measure.
“We were having quality-of-life conversations,” Nick shared during a recent interview with PEOPLE. “We could have had that existence where he would’ve had to live in the hospital, hooked up to machines, for the rest of the time. From someone who’s had to deal with chemotherapy before, I know that pain,” Cannon shared. “To see that happen to a 2-month-old, I didn’t want that. I didn’t want him to suffer.”
Zen passed away with his family by his side. Miracles Across 125th Street makes its television debut on VH1 on December 20, 2021.
