Madonna celebrated her twin daughters’ ninth birthday with sweet photos. The ‘Material Girl’ singer shared pictures of her youngest children with her social media fans on Estere and Stelle’s special day.
“Happy Birthday Stella and Estere,” Madonna wrote to her daughters. “Two Beautiful Souls … who bring nothing but joy to everyone they meet,” the celebrity mom added. “So Grateful to have you both in my life.”
Madonna adopted Estere and Stelle from Malawi in 2017. The celebrity mom spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about her decision to adopt again shortly after bringing her twin daughters to the States.
“Mercy and David were excited,” Madonna said of her older son and daughter whom she also adopted from Malawi. “There might have been [a feeling of], ‘Oh, we have to share you with more people’ — not jealousy, but an adjustment,” Madonna went on to say of her older kids’ reaction to her decision to open her home to more children. “Eventually everyone was supportive,” the celebrity mom shared. “Lola said, ‘Mom, if that’s what you want and it’s going to make you happy, let’s go.'”
It was just a few days ago that Madonna had all six of her children present to help her celebrate her sixty-third birthday. “Birthdays are a time for Reflection, Gratitude, and Self Examination,” Madonna told her social media fans. Dozens wished the legendary Pop singer well on her special day.
“Looks like you had an amazing Birthday. Thanks for sharing all the beautiful photos and videos,” one fan wrote after seeing the fireworks show Madonna enjoyed on her birthday. “What a wonderful evening,” Debi Mazar said.
Madonna has said several things about her life as a mom over the years. The celebrity recently shared how she balances work with parenting duties during an interview with The New York Times.
“If somebody said, ‘O.K., you’ve got to give one thing up,’ I would say, O.K., I’ll stop working,'” the recording artist shared. “But they like that I work,” Madonna said of her kids’ supporting her career. “They love to come visit me and watch me work. My older children, my son, he’s a painter, and my daughter’s a dancer and choreographer — I can see how my work has influenced them, though they probably wouldn’t like to say so. I like it. It makes me proud.”
