“I’ve got a new bestie,” a caption underneath a picture that featured Reign and Blaze read. Xscape took to the field to sing the national anthem before Sunday’s game between the Falcons and Saints. All members of the R&B group wore black and did a tremendous job of delivering the song. Reign, Blaze, and Toya Johnson got a backstage pass to all the fun before Xscape’s performance.

Some may remember Xscape reuniting for a multi-city tour called ‘Still Kickin’ It’ back in 2017. The group’s preparation was filmed and presented to the public on the Reality TV series Xscape: Still Kickin’ It. Kandi Burruss explained how the group came back together for the tour of a lifetime.

“We caught wind that somebody was doing an unauthorized movie about us and we felt it was important for us to tell our own story, instead of somebody else telling it,” Burruss shared with ESSENCE. “Tamika [Scott] and I hadnโ€™t communicated in a long time but, when I was expressing to Tiny how I felt about our story not being told right, she relayed the message to everybody else and it turned out that we were all on the same page.”

The New Orleans Saints beat the Atlanta Falcons in a final score of 21-16 this past Sunday. Stay tuned for more celebrity family news!
