On Friday, Lil Wayne released his 17th mixtape, No Ceilings 3, featuring his sons Dwayne Carter III ( Lil Tune), Neal Carter(Young Carter) and Kameron Carter (Young Kam Carter).
On the 20-track project, Lil Wayne’s kids can be heard shouting out their dad and sister Reginae Carter, who is not featured on the mixtape.
Wayne recently shared why he felt now was the time to drop his latest project, which also features guest appearances by Drake, Young Thug, Jay Jones, Cory Gunz, and more.
“The mixtape game seemed to be a dying art and since I’m one of the pioneers of the craft, and it played such a big part in my career, I felt it was only right to resurrect it,” Wayne said. “Also, it’s a lot of songs out here I wanted to kill my way!”
Lil Wayne shares Kameron,11, with his ex, Lauren London. In addition, the rapper has three more children with three different women: 21-year-old Reginae Carter with ex Toya Johnson, 12-year-old Dwayne Carter III with ex Sarah Vivan, and 10-year-old Neal Carter with singer Nivea. In February, Lil Wayne dropped his Funeral album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making it his fifth Billboard-leading album. On August 15, Lil Wayne appeared on ESPN to reveal that he would be releasing Tha Carter VI, the sixth album of his Carter series, and his third No Ceilings mixtape, No Ceilings 3. “[Tha] Carter VI is coming soon, but I got No Ceilings coming first.
