Willow Smith is truly a talented young entertainer. She captures the voice of a generation through her activism. She enchants through her artistic portrayals of screen. She inspires individuality through expression of not only fashion, but music as well.
Recently, the eighteen-year-old was appeared on the final issue of She Shreds Magazine where they donated all of the digital proceeds to various organizations, two including #TOGETHERFUND, x Will & Jada Smith Family Foundation, a global fundraising campaign to support organizations engaged in critical Racial Justice work and COVID-19 Relief efforts chosen by Willow Smith.
For the last issue of She Shreds Magazine, Smith discussed her journey as a guitarist, her connection with music as a healing and transformative power, and creating space for Black and brown women guitarists.
In addition to telling her story, Smith performed “Like A Bird,” for the She Shreds Media issue.
“Thank You <@sheshreds_media> for allowing me to do this for the FIRST TIME 🌟 Singing outside fills my heart ❤️ Hope you all enjoy,” the talented young Smith commented on her Instagram.
So, just what does Smith’s big brother Jaden think about all of success? Is there a sibling talent rivalry?
Well, in an interview with cheatsheet.com, the elder brother stated that there is no competition between the pair. “We never really felt competitive because Willow’s always been better than me at everything. There’s been no competition. Willow started making music first,” Jaden said. “I was like, ‘My younger sister is, like, 4, and she’s making all these fire songs. What’s happening? Willow was doing all these things, about to have record label deals at like the age of 6, and I was like, ‘I feel like I’m underachieving.’”
If you remember, the pair actually went on tour together in 2019. Although they both have irons in the same fires, it seams like “Team Smith” is a real thing. We cannot wait to see more from these talented young entertainers both individually and collectively.
