Alicia Keys is declaring that Black lives matter. The ‘We Are Here’ artist recently penned a beautiful message written to her youngest son, Genesis Dean, in which she also promoted the Black Lives Matter organization.
“My beautiful baby boy,” Alicia began her note. “So curious and pure, yet SO clear about what you don’t want.”
Genesis was born in December 2014. Alicia Keys surprised her fans with a pregnancy announcement months prior. The award-winning recording artist also decided to casually share a picture of her infant son a few weeks after giving birth.
“When you don’t like something going on in your small but powerful 5-year-old-world,” Alicia wrote to her son in the poem. “I hope that never changes,” she added. “I hope that inner strength and fire never extinguishes, and you never feel the sway to fit in or be silenced,” Alicia said.
“I have a STRONG feeling you won’t,” the celebrity mom declared. “That’s just not the fabric from which you came. Look at you,” Keys wrote. “Future architect, Builder, Mastermind, Wisdom keeper, Re-shaper, Changemaker … My Beautiful Baby Boy. You are unstoppable.”
