Toya Johnson and her daughter, Reign Rushing, enjoyed a night out at KATSEYE’s concert in Atlanta on Thursday (Oct. 15). The eight-year-old attended her first concert alongside a group of friends and their parents.
“My baby was the happiest girl ever yesterday! She went to her first concert to see her favorite girl group, @katseyeworld I couldn’t tell her nothing!” Toya wrote on Instagram.
Reign also documented the outing in a video, taking fans along for the experience. She and her friends spent the ride to the concert listening to KATSEYE’s music in a Sprinter van.
Although the group missed their chance to meet the singers, Reign didn’t seem too disappointed. The girls still had VIP access, and she was excited to head to soundcheck before the show.
For the occasion, Reign wore a lavender crochet top over a light blue shirt, a tiered denim skirt, and pink-and-white platform boots. Toya opted for a black graphic tee, distressed denim shorts, and knee-high black boots.
Toya and Reign have made several appearances together this year. In September, they joined Reign’s father, Robert “Red” Rushing, at the Rookie Kids: Runway on Broadway fashion show at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City.
Following the show, Toya praised her daughter’s runway appearance on Instagram.
“Another @rookiekids Fashion Show in the books! @reign_beaux hit that runway with confidence, personality, and her own little sparkle. So proud of our runway girl she was made for moments like this! #RookieKids #RunwayReign #ProudMomMoment,” she wrote.
Before that, Reign modeled in the Amazon Kids Back-to-School Fashion Show presented by Rookie Kids on July 30. The New York City event was also streamed on Amazon Live and featured back-to-school looks from brands including Nike, Levi’s, and Lacoste.
Reign, who celebrated her eighth birthday in February, is Toya’s youngest daughter and her only child with Robert. Toya is also mom to Reginae Carter, whom she shares with rapper Lil Wayne.
